Images recorded with different cameras will often have slight differences in general colour palette as well as localised anomalies throughout.
The aim of this research is to correct such differences between stereo images in order to provide a more comfortable experience for the audience. This process involves detecting the areas in each image that should have the same colours and making the necessary adjustments to bring them in line with each other.
This problem requires the use of techniques from several areas of computer vision including feature detection, optical flow, and occlusion handling.
