Michal Gnacek – Position Paper accepted at first CHI remote XR research workshop

CDE Research Engineer Michal Gnacek has been incredibly busy recently working on a couple of papers, with one already being accepted at the first CHI remote XR research workshop.

HCI and social science research that explores or uses extended reality (XR) has been particularly impacted by the recent Covid-19 pandemic and this workshop will bring together researchers and practitioners in XR to explore this. Michal’s paper, with emteq (Michal’s host industrial company), will support the workshop and its aim to reflect on the limitations of current participant recruitment for remote XR studies and the requirements for effective ongoing recruitment. The workshop will explore the opportunities XR hardware brings to remote experimentation and participants will work together to imagine how effective future remote XR research might be conducted.

We wish Michal well during the workshop and can’t wait to hear about further successes.
