We asked Kari to tell us all about his new placement company and EngD project.

I have recently started my placement at Charisma.ai and have been working with the company to develop and deploy an online Neural Style Transfer (NST) model for an adaptive and interactive storytelling platform. The platform uses Natural Language Processing to create a narrative-driven story, whilst giving the user the ability to add and change as seen fit.

Charisma.ai is an innovative platform that enables writers and artists to create interactive graphic novels. Using state-of-the-art natural language processing techniques, the novel adapts to your inputs and changes how the story evolves, allowing the readers to journey inside the story, talk to characters and impact the narrative. They aim to bring a new dimension to storytelling: replayable, interactive conversations with crafted characters.
