Conference success for CDE Research Engineers
It’s been a busy month for CDE Research Engineers presenting their EngD research at conferences all over the world. Catherine Taylor was in Beijing at the IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality, ISMAR 2019presenting her paper ‘VR Props: An End-to-End Pipeline for Transporting Real Objects into Virtual Reality’. Catherine is being hosted by Marshmallow Laser Feast for her EngD placement.
Meanwhile Alex Rotsidis headed off to India to present his master’s research on using AR to provide transparency info and help naive users calibrate their mental models, at IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication in New Delhi.
Joanna Tarko was also off on her travels to ACM SIGGRAPH International conference on VR Continuum and its Application in the Industry. She presented her EngD research on ‘Real-time insertions into 360 videos’. Joanna’s placement is hosted by Checkmate VR.
It’s so great to see CDE research and its impact being seen all over the world.
