CDE EngD student Alex Rotsidis has had his Master’s thesis accepted in IUI-ATEC 2019 workshop, being held in conjunction with the 24th International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces, March 2019 in Los Angeles.

Alex who is currently on industrial placement with DCactiv completed the paper as part of his Masters year at the start of his EngD at University of Bath.

Alex’s paper is titled “Augmented Reality: Making sense of robots through real-time transparency display”.

Halfway to the Future symposium
19th and 20th November 2019 in Nottingham, UK

The Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham are running the Halfway to the Future symposium, which is a two-day event in the city of Nottingham, UK. The symposium will explore the past, present, and future of HCI and design-based research and address a range of key themes with dedicated single-track panels, anchored by prominent keynote speakers discussing one of their seminal works in light of subsequent developments.

Confirmed keynote speakers: Steve Benford, Susanne Bødker, Bill Gaver, Christian Heath, Yvonne Rogers, Lucy Suchman, and Alex Taylor.

Key dates:
