We were thrilled to see CDE Research Engineer Kwamina Edum-Fotwe graduate with his EngD last week. Huge congratulations to Kwamina and his supervisory team Dr Paul Shepherd at the University of Bath and Dan Harper from Cityscape.

We were so proud of Research Engineer Asha Ward for getting to the Final stage of the EPSRC Connected Pioneers Competition. Asha attended the ceremony in Manchester and is pictured here with host Rachel Riley.

Asha’s multimedia presentation was selected as one of the finalists for the ‘Making Digital Technology Work for People’ category.

CDE Research Engineer Ifigeneia Mavridou won ‘Best student short paper’ at the recent International Conference on Disability, Virtual Reality and Associated Technologies 2018, with her paper ‘Towards valence detection from EMG for Virtual Reality applications’.

EPSRC Telling Tales of Engagement Competition 2018

The Digital Economy Theme is running a competition designed to help capture and promote the impact that Research Council funding is having. Three prizes of £10,000 are available to support researchers to further tell the story of research impact in an interesting and engaging way.
