Call for Pathways to Impact: help build a best-practice library
A new guide to writing a winning Pathway to Impact launched with a call for examples of good practice
Prof Mark Reed of Newcastle University is building the first ever best practice library of pathways to impact, in an attempt to spread innovation, drive up standards in grant writing and enable researchers to achieve more impact from their projects.
To promote the call for example pathways Prof Reed has published a new comprehensive guide to writing a winning impact summary and pathway to impact.

Women in Games WIGJ announce its seventh European Women in Games Conference.
The conference will take place at the East London Arts and Music Academy, 5th – 6th September 2017. Now over 2 days, the event will comprise a mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, the HR Manager’s Forum, an expo and the European Women in Games Hall of Fame Awards. Over 40 speakers and panelists will reflect the diverse talent that exists in the games industry with its objective to educate inspire, and help stimulate future generations.
Inter/sections is an event organised by the CDT students in the Media and Arts Technology Centre for Doctoral Training at Queen Mary University of London. Inter/sections 2017 is taking place from 3-8 September 2017, at the Mile End Art Pavilion in East London.
This year’s theme is Politics and Ethics in Media and Arts Technology. They will explore this theme through a week-long programme of workshops, talks, events, and an exhibition featuring new commissions by Julian Oliver and Will Hurt as well as student artwork.
Inter/sections culminate in a symposium on Friday 8 September. This is a day-long event for discussion and exchange between academia, industry and activists. Featuring keynote speakers who are experts in emerging trends in science and media, the Inter/section Symposium creates a space to debate new ethical frameworks for emerging technologies. Attendance is free, but booking is essential as lunch will be provided.
