The 9th IEEE Pacific Visualization Symposium (PacificVis 2016) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan during April 19 to 22, 2016. Visualization has become an increasingly important research area due to its wide range of applications in many disciplines. PacificVis is an IEEE sponsored international visualization symposium held in the Asia-Pacific region, with the objective to foster greater exchange between visualization researchers and practitioners, and to draw more researchers in the Asia-Pacific region to enter this rapidly growing area of research.
PacificVis 2016 features a short paper track, called “Visualization Notes“. The purpose of this track is to encourage young researchers to present their work and discuss with participants including senior researchers there. The submissions can be late-breaking results and work in progress, while they should be novel enough to attract interest from the visualization community.

8th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment – Call for Papers
June 28-30, 2016 – Utrecht, The Netherlands
Intelligent technologies have shaped and will continue to shape the way we experience entertainment. Novel devices and novel interaction paradigms present opportunities for richer interactions. At the same time, the adoption of such technology by humans presents interesting challenges. The development of interactive entertainment applications therefore requires thorough knowledge from multiple research domains (computer graphics, human factors, signal processing, artificial intelligence, etc.). When successfully combined, novel interaction paradigms can impact the entertainment industry.
The 8th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment (INTETAIN 2016) will address issues concerning relationships between human-computer interaction and entertainment. The objective of the conference is to attract state-of-the-art contributions that address the broad challenges faced in the development and use of interactive technologies to create entertainment content. The goal is to explore and discuss innovative studies, technologies and applications aimed at new interface paradigms.
Deadline for submissions: February 19, 2016
