The second Transmission Symposium will take place at BU’s Executive Business Centre on April 22nd. This event will feature talks by Neuroscientists Dr Hannah Critchlow, and Dr Nillie Lavie and expert on the science of magic by Dr Gustav Kuhn as well as interactive artworks from Analema Group, Anna Troisi, Luciana Hail, Szymon Kaliski, boredomresearch and many more. 2015 Imperial College Computing Student Workshop – 24 – 25th September 2015 – London

The 5th Imperial College Computing Student Workshop (ICCSW) aims to provide an international forum for doctoral students in computing. While most conferences and workshops in academia solely cater for specific research areas, ICCSW encourages doctoral students from all disciplines in computer science to submit and review papers and take part in the event. It is a workshop organised by students for students, hosted by the Imperial College London ACM Student Chapter. The 20th International Computer Games Conference will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, USA on 28 – 29th July 2015.

Now in its 15th year, is acknowledged as one of the leading research conferences devoted to advancing the theory and practice of computer games development. SIGGRAPH 2015 is taking place in Los Angeles from the 9th – 13th August 2015. http://s2015.siggraph.org/

We can offer to organise a group booking for any students, with approval from their supervisors, who would like to go.

The package we can offer is flying out on the 7th of August and flying back after the conference in the evening on the 13th of August. This will include 6 nights of accommodation (there might be the option to share hotel rooms to save you money if you’d like) and admission to the event.

In the first instance, if you’d like to go, please discuss this with your supervisors and let Anna know by Tuesday, 28th April 2015.
