CDE student Dhana Frerichs has had a poster accepted at SIGGRAPH Asia. Dhana works with respected games company Ninja Theory on the simulation of decay and weathering in computer games.
Dhana’s poster was accepted for the top ranking SIGGRAPH Asia conference. Her host company, Ninja Theory are famed for pushing the production values and technical boundaries of their games. They have collaborated with Andy Serkis on face capture, Alex Garland on script writing and Nitin Sawhney on music.
Realism is very important to the company and Dhana’s research is looking at real-time simulation of decay. This initial project looks at object weathering simulation.
