This project is about real-time rendering of volumetric surface detail on deformable surfaces. Current state of the art for real-time 3D surface detail focuses on static detail, while deformable surface detail rendering is usually implemented using standard techniques, such as displacement mapping, in real-time applications. We will attempt to bridge this gap of representable complexity, while also reducing mesostructure distortions introduced by deformation and managing large amounts of detail.
